Back Germany to get the better of Poland in this top of the table clash
Poland have had the better of Group D so far in their European Championships qualification campaign, however this weekend face their biggest challenge yet with a trip to Germany.
Table-toppers Poland will go into the match on a cusp of a wave, as the only team in the group to still be unbeaten. They enter this potentially crucial tie however as 10/1 outsiders to grab the win, against the current world champions Germany, who are at shorts of 3/10 to get the win that would send them soaring to the top of Group D. A draw lies at relatively short odds of 5/1, between the two pace-setters of the group.
Germany in truth have been underwhelming so far in the campaign, with an 11-0 aggregate victory over Gibraltar doing little to comfort the 1-1 draw to the Republic of Ireland last year, and the 2-0 loss to this weekend’s visitors last time the two teams met. Their goal difference is five weaker than Poland’s too, however Thomas Muller will be hoping to change that this time around, with 5/6 being offered on him to score anytime, and the quick wing-play of Andre Schurrle expected to yield a goal anytime at 6/5.
Poland on the other hand have been rampant, putting four past Georgia in their last cup match to win 4-0. Robert Lewandoski was on hand to scorer three of those four goals, and is 12/5 to score anytime with bet365 and make it eight for the campaign.
Tip
This one could be too close, with a Germany team brimming with talent and a Polish side full of confidence. Expect a 1-1 draw, and lump on it at 9/1 with bet365.
A safer bet lies with both teams to score at evens.
