Italian looking to follow up maiden victory with strong result in Brno
Andrea Iannone believes that the Brno circuit could be a good track his Ducati this weekend. The 27-year-old arrives in the Czech Republic off the back of his best showing in the premier class, having converted pole position into a first MotoGP victory and Ducati’s first since 2010.
Although Iannone does concede that the track will be a better suit for Honda and Yamaha he is confident that the Desmosedici can back up its performance in Austria with a strong result around Brno.
“It is still very difficult to explain my feelings after the win in Austria, but I can only say that it was a truly incredible weekend,” said Iannone.
“Now we go to Brno for the next race and I think that this circuit is also very good for us. Last year I finished fourth despite a technical problem but now we have a good pace for fighting for the podium at every round. For sure also our rivals are very strong at this track but I think there is a good chance for me to score a good result again.”
