Amelie Mauresmo has revealed her baby son is named Aaron, after releasing the first picture of her new-born child via social media.
Just eight days after becoming a mother for the first time, the two-time Grand Slam winner and now coach of Andy Murray, published a (albeit discreet) snap of her son via her official Twitter account.
Aaron est arrivé le 16/08/15 et nous sommes enfin à la maison… Totalement renversant !
The method of marking Aaron’s arrival Chez Mauresmo mirrored the way the Frenchwoman announced his impending birth in April, which was again done via social media.
British number one Murray was first to confirm baby Mauresmo’s arrival into the world after dedicating last week’s Rogers Cup win to his coach of 14 months.
“My coach Amelie Mauresmo is back home. She gave birth to a baby boy this morning – I’m not sure she will have stayed up to watch this one. I’m sure she was a little bit tired, but Amelie this one’s for you, thank you,” he said after recording his first victory over Novak Djokovic in two years.
The Scot himself will soon be welcoming the pitter-patter of tiny feet into the Murray household after confirming wife Kim will give birth to their first child at the start of 2016.
No date has yet been given for Mauresmo’s return to the sport, with the world number three currently being coached by Swede Jonas Bjorkman.
